Adding Sets – Set Properties

You can’t assign a Set to a shot until you define the set. The Set Properties screen allows you to record all the necessary information about a Set so you can begin assigning the Set to different shots.

Give the set a Name, which will be used to assign it to a shot, and specify it’s Type : Location, Location with composite, Physical Set, Physical Set with composite, Computer Generated or Matte Painting/Photo.

Then specify the Shoot Type: Location Shoot, Studio Set or Blue/Green screen. Record the Shoot Location of the Set and any Location Contact information for access to the site.

You can list any required Set Dressings and the estimated Preparation Time (in minutes) to get the set. If there is a Cost associated with this site indicate it here.

Once the set is finalized, check off the Set Complete box.

Adding Sets – Set Diagrams

Here you can import one or more JPG images representing the diagrams for the set. These may be perspectives, or overhead plans or whatever you need to communicate the look of the set.

The Add button allows you to choose a file from disk. The Remove button removes the image from your breakdown, you can however, choose to save a copy before you remove it.
