Shot Properties - Design/Planning Tab

This screen describes the essence of the shot. First give the shot a short, descriptive Name, this will be displayed in the tree view and will help you select the shot when generating reports.

Next set the shot Type and Method. The shot types are "Master Shot", "Reaction Shot", "Detail Shot", "Establishing Shot" and "Coverage Shot". Shot method is either Live Action or CG (Computer Generated). I suggest starting with the Master Shot since it tells the core of the story. Other shots can be flushed out later.

For the Description, you can simply type one in the Description box, or use the "Description Builder" to help you get the basics covered. (Note: using the description builder will erase anything currently in the Description box)!

Enter any important Notes and Special Effects info. Choose the set that will be used. (If no sets are defined you will have to skip ahead "Adding Sets", by clicking on the Modify button).

If you will be shooting a composite shot, check the "Composite Shot" checkbox, and enter any notes for the Plate Shot.
